About Christiane

Most people think of themselves as a personality with a body. Wellness can be approached from either direction.

I work with both.

Though many people today understand that there is a close connection between the body and the mind, mostly we don’t live what we understand. Instead, we think of ourselves as a personality with a body, as if they were separate. And it is this misperceived separation that is the source of much of what we struggle with in our personal and professional lives.

In BodyMind Consulting programs, I use body movements and interactive dialogue to create the experience of well-being by working with each person as a single whole BodyMind. Wholeness is not just living free of pain, it is living from beyond the misperception of the separation.

For the most part, our difficulties occur when expectations and reality clash and often we aren’t even aware that we had those expectations.  But in either case, aware or not, when we resist the situation in which we find ourselves, it then manifests as patterns of stress that accumulate over time.

The common name for this is pain, which can be physical or mental or both. The root of such pain is an energetic blockage (either surface or subtle) lodged in both the body and the mind and is often accompanied by an emotional discomfort.

In the body we experience resistance as a tightness or a knot; in the mind we experience it as a problem or a situation that we believe should not be as it is.  But actually, though we might experience it more strongly in one form or the other, it is the same stuckness or (k)not that is present in both simultaneously.  Wellbeing and wholeness follow from the release of these (k)nots and an awareness of where they came from.

The Art of Living BodyMind WellBEing

I am a woman who is just... here. No fluff, no jargon, and no "expert" scripts. After fifty-four years of navigating cultures across the globe, motherhood, divorce, and the grit of starting anew—I’ve seen enough to know that nobody has the map. I’ve inhabited many worlds, and they’ve all taught me the same thing: the most profound wisdom isn’t found in a textbook or behind a title. It’s found in the BEing amidst it all.

I’m a realist with an infectious laugh who has stopped trying to outplan a life that rarely goes as planned anyway. For me, BodyMind wellbeing isn’t a practice I sit down to do; it’s the ground I stand on. My podcast, the In the Kitchen series, my workshops, and my Resource Center are not separate "services." They are simply extensions of one life, shared from a place of how we might take care of ourselves while everything is swirling around us.

I don’t believe in the "fix-it" culture. It is disempowering to wait for a step-by-step guide to feel better when the truth is that you aren’t broken. I have nothing to "teach" you, but I can be a mirror. In a world of deep divide, I am interested in the common thread—the shared human experience that reminds us how powerful we actually are when we stop looking for an external map.

At this stage, I am a student of never-ending curiosity, realizing that this journey is far more about unlearning than learning. There is no one-size-fits-all way; we find the path only by walking. I am here to witness your courage as you tap into your own inherent wisdom and inhabit your one and precious life—by your own design, one baby step at a time.
